We live in a world of sex, everything around us now point to it. However, a general look on sex globally portrays a great deceit, decadences and wickedness for sexual gratifications and experimentations. 

Today men no longer have satisfaction for the opposite sex; women no longer have feelings for men. The abuse of sex is in the increase, genuine relationships are fast disappearing, and fidelity has become things of the past.
Sex is good, after all God incorporated it into us, but there are conditions before one can be a partake to sex; marriage between a man and woman.

Below are characteristics of sex…

sex is created by God

sex is spiritual 

sex between wife and husband (male and female) is holy

sex is good

sex is not abomination 

sex is a free gift of God

sex is refreshing

sex is healthy 

sex strengthens marriage

sex does not defile 

sex is a blessing to man

Having known few characteristics of sex, let’s consider some common traps to illicit sex.

Seduction

Any youth that cannot resist the present temptations that come with seduction is likely to languish in bitter sex. There are many devices of seductions everywhere, but we must endeavor to flee from them.

First timer

Do not be in haste to experiment sex. There are thousands of unfortunate youth that have contacted terrible diseases even at their first attempt on sex. Ironically the first person you have sex with has a powerful influence on you. If she is a witch or wizard you are already bewitched, if he is a marine agent, you have been possessed by marine spirit. 

Lust

Lust is one of the causes of illicit and bitter sex in our society today. It constitutes about 60% of the causes of illicit and bitter sex. Both young and old lust and they call it love. The ability to subdue lust is a panacea to conquer bitter sex.

Emulation 

Some are involved in sexual immorality as a result of peer pressure. Some boast with the number of opposite sex they have slept with. They want to beat their friend’s record? They want to also sleep with that new girl in town. They want to attempt to sleep with every girl on campus; they want to have a taste of those newly employed colleagues of theirs. “They say she is cheap…” Don’t be the one to dig your grave.

Enticement

Do not allow any person to entice you with anything in order to have sex with you. Some people are enticed to have sex, and they have ended up destroying themselves. They compromised.

Internal Destroyers 

What are internal destroyers? They are thoughts that operate inside of a person. Their sources are from dirty activities we consume or desire via our mind. Ironically, millions of people daily imagine all kinds of immoral thoughts. This is a common medium the devil is using to destroy people. We must do away with all manners of immoral thoughts exposing us to sex traps. 

Whatever the mind conceive the flesh desires... You therefore have no excuse not to learn. Enrich your heart with positive and brilliant thoughts. Do away with books, films, scenes, and conversations that will pollute your heart and then trigger sexual urge. The truth still remains that any temptation is enough to bring the victim down. Read your Bible, Christian literatures and positive books instead, and attend fellowship that will edify your spiritual life. If such thoughts persist, please do not hesitate to go for a proper spiritual check-up i.e. deliverance. There is a deliverance specifically meant for the mind. It’s called the “deliverance of the mind.” 

Parties 

Night Parties are recording a high percentage of illicit sex, rape, and sexual experimentations. It is not all parties that you must attend. It is not all invitation that you must honour. So, you have to be selective. Ascertain the kind of parties you want to attend beforehand. There are all kinds of evil parties through which initiations take place. In campuses today, once some students hear ‘party…’ they are on their feet and off they go to the party. I am not writing off attending parties, but what I am saying is that you must know the kind of parties you attend. Let me tell you there are parties presently going on where the wicked ones recruit gays and lesbians etc. A sister reveals to me how they operate. A party could be going on in an open space, garden or near the pool etc (it could be anywhere) but inside the main building another secret party for gays or lesbians are also going on. Beware of the parties you attend. You could get drunk, you may even be drugged and in the heat of excitement you are raped or used for anything. 

If you must attend any party under any unusual circumstance, go with somebody. You could be the target for that party. Be vigilant, and be wise.

Internet cafes 

If you visit internet cafes today, you will be amazed at what you will see. Teenagers between the ages of thirteen and eighteen years have now taken over all the cafes viewing pornographic pictures and videos. Overnight browsing is now used to either hunt for sex partner or advertise for sex business. These young people are killing themselves slowly, by sowing harmful and destructive seeds into their own hearts. Unfortunately, Internet Cafes are no longer avenues for obtaining vital information but sexual gratification. I am really amazed at their dexterity in searching these ugly scenes. Now the question is what is expected of a youth that has fed his/her hearts with polluted pictures and videos of sexual activities? I tell you it is nothing short of rape, abuse of children, and uncontrollable urge for sex at all given time.

Looking for favour

This is applicable in all areas of life endeavors. Sex has become a bargaining tool to gain favour. The more sex they give, the more favour they get. It is predominantly practiced in schools and in offices to get marks or gain promotion. If you are asked for sex by anybody, lecturer, cult member etc, refuse or else you will be destroying your destiny. Keep your dignity by refusing all manners of illicit sex.
